"Little Monsters" card project life / PCCCS115 / CTD315

Happy Thursday everyone,

Today, I created this cute card using the Season Snapshot Project Life card collection. This is my very first collection from Stampin' Up!'s Project Life and I have to say ....as soon as I opened the kit I knew I'd love it! I guess you could call it love at first sight! :0P

This card was made for 2 challenges: The Color Throwdown and The Paper Craft Crew both fun, creative and exciting challenges.

Here's my card:

O0o0ohh aren't those little monsters adorable!!! They remind me of my many niece's and nephew's.

Of course Project Life is meant to go into an album but, who cares about rules in creativity? If you have yet to get you some of these collections I so0o0 recommend that you do.

Pleasant Poppies with Sympathy PCCCS113

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!! I had a long and eventful weekend. We did some Christmas shopping, a company picnic and miniature golfing. I loved every second of it!!!

Here is a card I did for The Paper Craft Crew sketch .

I will admit I am not a fan of making "Sympathy" cards but, after stamping and coloring the poppies I felt that is the direction this card needed to go. Here's what I did.

I stamped the image with stazon on whisper white CS. Colored them with my Stampin' Write markers in calypso coral, blushing bride, pool party and pear pizzazz. After completely dry I used clear stampin emboss powder to cover the entire image. Heat set it. For the background I covered the bottom portion (grass) with a post it. With a stampin sponge I colored in the sky from lightest to darkest in soft sky, marina mist and Pacific point. The covered the top portion (sky) with the post it did the same technique using old olive, wild wasabi and mossy meadow.

I matted it on a blushing bride piece. Wrapped it around with bakers twine. Tied a bow. For the sentiment I stamped it in basic grey on whisper white. Using my decorative label punch punched it out with the sentiment centered towards the bottom attached punch out to a post it put it back in punch. This time centering towards top. Adhered it to a piece of blushing bride CS. Repeated punch process. Using a clothes pin pinned it to backer's twine. Adhered pieces together on a basic grey card base. Added some pearls. Rounded edges and "viola"....

This is the sketch we were given.

Hope you all like it!!!!

"Brew Up A Little Fun" Halloween Card / PCCCS111

So I know I have been doing a lot of Halloween posts but, I just love this holiday. I made this "witchy" card for this weeks paper craft crew challenge witch can be found HERE . Hope you all will join in on the fun!!!

This sketch callenge was so much fun!!! I am sure I will be using it for future cards.

The witch's dress is made with the oval scallop punch and trimmed to size. Can you believe I used just one stamp set ( I can't).

Hope you all like it!! If you have any questions let me know.

PCCCS107 / Flashback Friday Array of Sunshine

Today's card is what I like to call "Flashback Friday" it's where I use retired products..lets face it we all have things that we pushed to the side when our new goodies come in but, just can't seem to let them go ( I am so0o0 guilty of this ) I wanted a day to showcase these neglected  treasures so, Friday it is.

Be sure to look out for that every Friday!

I also combined this with a sketch challenge I just became a part of over on www.papercraftcrew.com you can check that out here .

I really love the idea of taking a stamp and layering in on top on itself to create
dimension.

Supplies:

Stamp set/s : Array of Sunshine, Kindness Matters
Ink: calypso coral, lucky limeade, basic black
